Well if you did, then you know there is no easy way to lose weight! Well to be precise, there are ways you can lose weight fast, but there is only one way to lose weight and keeping the weight of. In the fallowing paragraphs we will take a look at some methods of losing weight, and it will be up to you to decide if there is such a thing as losing weight fast, or not.
Losing weight through diets!
Everyone, kids, teenagers, young adults, adults, everyone tries a diet at least ones in their lives, and why not? There are countless diets you can find on the internet, books, and other information sources, and most of them promise that you will lose weight fast. Well, let’s take a look at some different diets and see what we come up with, but before that let’s learn what a diet is.
When you go on a diet, fundamentally, you starve your body of food. (This does not necessary mean you stop eating, although in some diets you do, it basically means you decrease the amount of food you eat to an all-time low.) Why? By decreasing the amount of food you eat you hope to burn more calories (fat), therefore loosing weight faster, and at the beginning it works. However, after a wile your body adjust to the diet and it becomes harder and harder to lose weight, let alone lose weight fast.
Now that you know what a diet is, let’s take a look at some popular diets today, which according to users, let you lose weight fast.
- Scarsdale Diet- If you want to lose weight fast but you do not want to go hungry then this is the diet you are looking for. The Scarsdale Diet Plan does not demand you do weight, measure, or count anything. All you need to do is fallow a menu giving to you that consists of regular supermarket foods.
- Budget Friendly Scarlet Diet- Just like the name says this is a more economic version of the Scarlet Diet. This is possible because this version uses lower cost supermarket foods.
- Vegetarian Scarsdale Diet- If you are a vegetarian looking for a diet, or if you simply want to stop eating meat wile on a diet, then this is the diet for you. Like its predecessors, this diet uses ordinary supermarket foods.
- Lemonade Diet- Unlike the diets mentioned above, this diet only consist of dinking a concoction of lemon juice, rich maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water for about ten to fourteen days, and it usually requires you to eat or drink nothing the entire time you are on the diet. (This diet is also regarded as a cleanse method to rid your body of unnecessary toxins and waist. This is why you can not drink or eat anything during this period of time.)
- Three Day Diet- The users of this diet usually have to lose ten pounds or less. This diet consists of drinking four to eight glasses of water or diet soda daily, along with three strictly controlled meals for three days.
- Hollywood Diet- This diet is much like the lemonade diet, but instead of drinking a lemon concoction you drink the Hollywood Diet Juice for one or two days. This diet is also known as a detoxification drink and it is for individuals sexing to lose ten pound or less fast.
- Grapefruit Diet- This diet consists of drinking grapefruit juice in each meal and eating three strictly controlled meals. It can last anywhere between seven to twenty-one days.
- Cabbage Soup Diet- This diet last for seven days and you can eat as much as you want as long as you only eat mostly vegetables soups (made with cabbage and other vegetables), and small quantities of low-calorie vegetables, fruits, meat, and skin milk, which are necessary for protein.
The reason why you lose weight fast on most of this diets is because you lose a lot fluids, a pound or two of fat, a pound or two of muscle, but you mostly lose waste materials that was previously located on your digestive system. This is why recent studies on major diets show that you only lose ten pounds, and once the diet is finished you usually gain the pounds back. (Unless you completely change your previous eating habits)
Now that we have taken a look at diets lets take a look at another common method in which you can lose weight fast, but not that fast.
It is time to EXERCISE!!
Exercising plays a very important role when losing weight and keeping weigh off. Why? The reason why people gain weight in the first place is because too much calories (fat) are consumed and too little are used/wasted. When you exercise you get rid of stored energy (fat). However, for an exercise routine to work you need to burn more calories than you consume, so do you know which exercise is the best to lose weight? There are three major types of exercise, aerobic exercises, anaerobic exercises, and stretching exercises. Although all these exercises are good to lose weight the best exercise is…the one you do!! The reason behind this logic is because there may be different exercises to choose from, but if you do not do any of them, they are all useless. Therefore the best exercise is the one you do, so let’s take a closer look at these three types of exercises.
- Aerobic exercises (cardio) are any type of activity that uses large group of muscles that are continuously moving in a rhythmic motion. Once you start moving with aerobic exercises the heart and lungs work harder and you sweat a lot. Some types of aerobic exercise include bicycling, dancing, skiing, skating, walking, jumping rope, running, stair climbing and swimming.
- Anaerobic exercises are brief, intensive, and usually involve the training muscles. Some examples of anaerobic exercises are heavy weight-lifting, running, biking, jumping rope, hill climbing, interval training, and isometrics.
- Stretching exercises lengthen the limbs allowing a person to be more flexible and more often than not target specific muscles at a time. Some stretching exercise include ballistic stretching, dynamic stretching, active stretching, relaxed stretching, static stretching, isometric stretching, and PNF stretching.
Now that we have taken a closer look at dieting and exercise, if you combine them together you can loose weight fast, right? Yes and no. You see, loosing weight is not so much as rigorously exercising and dieting. Loosing weight is about becoming accustomed to eating healthier foods, making better choices, and taking better care of not only your weight, but you in general. Therefore, if you really want to lose weight fast, and keep the weight off, there are three more things you can do, they are sleep at least seven hours and a half, avoid to much stress, and set realistic achievable goals for yourself, and we will take a look at why this things are important in losing weight and keeping it off.
- Recent research has shown that people who do not sleep at least 7½ hours each day do not produce enough growth hormones and leptin protein, two important hormones/protein your body needs to lose weight effectively and permanently.
- Stress causes the body to produce too much adrenaline, cortisol and insulin. This hormones increase you r appetite, which means you eat more than you are supposed to.
- Setting realistic goals will help you maintain a positive attitude wile trying to lose weight, this way even if you have “slips” (which you are bound to have) in your dieting and exercise routines you will not feel too discourage and quit halfway.
Now that you have all the information on losing weight, what to you think? Is there such a thing as losing weight fast and actually keeping the weight off? Yes, no, maybe, it is up to you to decide. However, remember one thing, when losing weight takes effort, there is magical pill you can take and no short courts either. You must be determined and take things one step at a time, and eventually (if you do things constantly and right) you will not only lose weight but you will proudly say good bye and good riddance to those extra unhealthy pounds!
